“Yasmin, The seeker of ancient blood” – Julee Cerda

Julee Cerda is a NY-based actress with a love for horror films. An avid cult film follower, she is excited to have worked on her first comedic horror flick with director Arnold Acevedo. The spawn of a Dominican father and Korean mother, Julee has been taking part of projects with strong cultural story-telling and has worked on various Latino-based independent films such as “Dog Run”, directed by Francisco Valera, a 2009 official selection at the HBO New York International Latino Film Festival; and most recently, “The Miracle of Spanish Harlem”, directed by Derek Velez Partridge.

“Mary, The old one” – Silvia Tovar

Silvia Tovar was born and raised in Colombia, and then relocated to New York at the age of 18 looking for a dream. She graduated with a BFA in performing arts from Adelphi University in 2006, on top of studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Manhattan. In the last couple of years she has performed in theatre productions like, Coser y Cantar, Women are real and Mi Mujer es El Plomero. In 2009 Silvia was casted in the films, Butterfly Doors, Fair Lawn, The Last Gamble, and Looking for These? Where she got to play a vampire for the first time. She was also a contestant on VH1′s reality TV talent search, Viva Hollywood.

“Wanda, The bartender” – Damaris Cabrera

Damaris was born in the US to Puerto Rican & Cuban parents. She is a graduate of Fordham University (BA in Anthropology). She was nominated for an ACE award as Best Actress in Classical Theatre for her performance as Sofia & Minjaca in the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre’s Cervantes Interludes in 2007. In 2008, she portrayed Rosa Duarte in Mujeres de Febrero con Duarte (ACE nomination Best Classical Play) and Juaniya in Los Jibaros Progresistas. Damaris has also booked several roles in the upcoming independent short films (Looking For These?, Spanish To Go, When I Get Home, & Italian Types). “Cindy, The comedy hostess” – Cindy SugaRusH

This Puerto Rican & Dominican dynamo is a budding and promising performer, passionately vocalizing her message through comedy, poetry, songs and acting in the films of up and coming directors like Arnold Acevedo.

For the past year Cindy has been concentrating on developing her very own Late Night Tri-lingual comedy show !Travesuras con Cindy SugaRush! accompanied by her own band The SugaBush Experience, at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC.
